Cash Versus Leveraged Bullion Purchase
Leveraged bullion can be purchased in the same manner as cash. You simply buy more. This means that when the value rises, your profits are increased dramatically by the leveraging effect. You may have experienced or heard about homes which were purchased with a very small cash down payment, and which were sold two or three years later at an enormous profit. The same can be done with precious metals. In a bullish metals environment, the use of leverage can dramatically enhance your investment returns. For example, a cash purchase of 100 ounces of gold at $600 per ounce would cost $60,000. If gold rises $100 per ounce, the investor would earn $10,000, or a 16.6% return.* Buy by using the power of leverage, the same $60,000 investment would permit the purchase and control of 420 ounces of gold. If gold were to rise the same $100 per ounce, the investor using leverage would earn $42,000, or a 70% return.* the power of leverage is clear.
*Commissions and fees are not included in either example. A 4 Bullions, Inc. broker would be happy to calculate an exact example for you, with commissions and fees included for both leveraged purchase and a typical cash transaction
